The English Learner Program provides English Language Development (ELD) and Specially Designed Academic Instruction in English (SDAIE) instruction for students acquiring English. This is the highest score for a school district of like size or larger on the English Language Proficiency Indicator (ELPI) in Tulare County, Fresno County, Kings County, Kern County, and Los Angelas County. LUSD ELPI score is higher than the California State average of 48.3 %.
